Neymar’s dad discusses Neymar moving from PSG to Real Madrid

The Neymar to Real Madrid rumours just won’t go away
In recent months, Neymar has, incredibly, been linked with a move away from PSG.

Neymar became the world’s most expensive player when he signed for PSG last summer from Barcelona.

The Ligue 1 giants paid 222 million euros to sign Neymar from Barcelona and PSG have blitzed all before them in France’s top flight and the Champions League.

Is Neymar unhappy at PSG?
However, Neymar has publicly fallen out with Edinson Cavani over penalty taking duties and reportedly doesn’t get on with PSG coach Unai Emery.

In addition, a rumour refuses to go away: Neymar is considered the likely successor to Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid.

Since Neymar couldn’t leave Barcelona for Real Madrid, he has joined PSG for a short amount of time, in order to end up at the Bernabeu.

These rumours have been further fuelled by Neymar refusing to answer a question about Real Madrid after PSG’s rout of Celtic last week in the Champions League.

Neymar’s dad asked about Real Madrid rumours
When Neymar left Barcelona, it was considered to be at the direction of his father.

On signing for PSG, Neymar revealed on social media that his father had urged him to stay at Barcelona.

This week, Neymar’s father was asked about the Real Madrid rumours by Fox Sports Brasil (via Marca.)

Somehow, Neymar’s dad managed to both talk up and put down the Real Madrid chat.

“What sort of a question is that?”
Neymar’s father responded: “How can I answer that? I can’t talk about something that doesn’t exist. How can he go to Real Madrid? What sort of a question is that?”

That should have been the end of it right? A ridiculoous question answered abruptly and on to the next one…

Except, Neymar’s father added: “Today we don’t have that thought [that Neymar signs for Real Madrid], answering that is feeding an idea that is not possible, I simply can’t talk about a negotiation that could happen in five or six years time.”

Neymar’s dad continued: “Neymar has a long contract with Paris Saint-Germain and has only just arrived. We are three months in and already a move is being talked about. It’s difficult for people to respond to this type of thing.”
